Growing Mushrooms, Aquaponic Produce, and running a Website Hosting and Development operation
We are starting a blog! We have learned a lot over the past 10 or so years establishing ourselves and our business. There are a lot of obstacles we run into on a day to day basis that might give context or inspiration to others that aspire to do what we are doing. We use a lot of YouTubers, books, scholarly articles, online journals, Reddit posts, anything we can get our hands on to inform what we do, then distill that information into something that works for us through trial and error and experience. Through these series of blog posts, for as long as we find the will to keep producing them, we will provide information that has been profound to our development, growth, or understanding in the industries that we contribute to. Here’s what we’re thinking you might expect to find:
Growing Gourmet Mushrooms
We use a lot of mushroom growers as resources for building out our operation. To name a few, Paul Stamets, GroCycle, Myers Mushrooms Farms, Mossy Creek Mushrooms have all been great resources for learning about cultivating a weekly rotation of mushrooms. Sometimes farms will paywall their information after providing it (which we understand, it’s valuable information!). We want to provide a stable library of information that will remain free for as long as the website stands so that the people that want to grow mushrooms for themselves or commercially can learn to do so, from start to finish.
Aquaponics Farming in Southwest Colorado
We think Aquaponics Farming is the pinnacle of technology when it comes to sustainable farming. We have worked on traditional farms, helped build large scale hydroponic greenhouse operations, tried vertical farming, composting, building bio dynamic soils, compost teas, and it always comes back to our experience with Aquaponics being the best method for produce. The quality of the produce that it grows, the fish harvests, the amount of control that is required to have a high quality system is just something that appeals to us. It’s a niche community, and there’s a lot of margin for error, but we are in the process of finishing our greenhouse now so we will have a lot to share as we build it. The system was funded by a grant from the Colorado State Small Food Business Recovery and Resilience Grant and will be used to provide year round produce to an area that is working to bolster its fresh and local food availability to low income and low access community members.

Helping small businesses start websites and advertise themselves all across the United States has been incredibly gratifying and crucial to our survival as a small business, especially through the Covid years. They make up probably 90% of our clients on that side of the business. We are grateful to work with all of the businesses that have grown their brand with us over the years, and we look forward to helping people in this way in the future.
